A new model by Urwerk has been just released. The model is called Hammerhead 201 and it is built of the mechanisms, the working technology of with are really hard to imagine. I agree with the previous post, I'd wait on it, there are probably things you could best spend your money on right now.
If you are still intent on it though (I know I was that way and still am), here are a few thoughts.
Even with the discount, you can probably find a used one for less. The depriciate rapidly after it's on your wrist. Not to the basement, but I'd still reason that a used watch might be a better value.
OR if you are still determined to get the new watch, if you are an upper classman, maybe the parents would help you buy it, especially with a good discount, as an early graduation present?
BTW I'd still recommend a Speedy for your first Omega.
