"For the longest time" refers to the accuracy I found, just slightly out of COSC specs. I never felt it was that critical to send it in when it was at least consistent. I decided the sent to repair when it went way out of CODC specs. The issue with the luminous dial orange dial tip fading occurred over time so it was difficult to gauge, It wasn't until I saw a new watch at a dealer that I realized the orange had faded. To that point, I have a 40 year old vintage Omega with a luminous dial and it is as luminous today as it was 40 years ago. So I still have an issue with the service folks telling me that stuff like this happens when you wear he watch every day.
